Photo by Dan Morris Sandy Strikes; Lions Swiftly Respond by Pamela Mohr As Superstorm Sandy cut a vicious, 1,100-mile-swath through parts of the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States during the last days of October, it was already historic in its epic proportions—considered to be possibly the most brutal, unrelenting and damaging storm to ever make landfall in the United States.
