Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Do you take advantage of all the different avenues you have to tout all the great things happening in your school nutrition program to parents in your community? A Consumer Insights study by ConAgra Mills found that parents genuinely appreciate receiving this type of information, especially when it comes to menu changes. The research revealed that almost three of four moms think it’s important that they receive communication about school meals. Some 60% want details via letter, 43% indicated a preference for e-mail and 31% would welcome a flyer or other literature sent home with their children. With a new school year kicking off and National School Lunch Week approaching (October 14-18), make it a priority to share your cafeteria’s latest changes, news, activities and events.
