Fit in Fitness With Friends Need an extra “something” to help you meet your wellness goals? To mark this month’s Global Employee Health and Fitness Month observance—and, really, in recognition of the value in prioritizing personal wellness throughout the year—encourage your colleagues to join you as you all work together to meet your individual health goals. Challenge one another to eat more fruits and vegetables. Take a walk in pairs or groups. Commit together to an exercise class. By adding a social component, you’ll have fun, be held accountable and get help in staying motivated. Need a ready-made program to guide you in your efforts? The STEPS Challenge program (www.schoolnutrition.org/steps) is a free wellness program designed specifically for school nutrition professionals and brought to you by SNA and Jennie-O.
