Susan L. Moore, corporate vice president of global public affairs at Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, was elected chair of the board of directors of the Information Technology Industry Council. Toni J. Ellington, an attorney with Taggart Morton in New Orleans, received Certified Medicare Secondary Payer certification from the Louisiana Association of Self Insured Employers. Ian Scharfman, principal in the Scharfman Law Firm in Houston, was elected chair of the board of the Anti-Defamation League’s Southwest Regional Office. Benny Agosto Jr., a partner in Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend in Houston, received the Civil Rights Medal from the group. Jennifer Tomsen, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig in Houston, was appointed a member of the Kids in Need of Defense Houston Advisory Committee.
