RE: “The Uniform You’re Wearing,” February 2017, p. 86 As a Boy Scout adult leader and father of a Life Scout, I also have witnessed the transformation that wearing the scout uniform plays upon a common group; a mantle of honor that does “cover all differences.” When Luke wears it proudly, it makes me proud. As cadets at Texas A&M University, we were trained to respect and honor the uniform as a projection of something greater than ourselves. It was a bond, a community, and a representation of something to aspire to continuously. Your points in the article about the honor we show as human beings, in treating our fellow man with kindness, was a welcome reminder of our calling. It is the humanity that we show in the little things that value us as people. Over these changing times the bar will be called upon to help those less fortunate who are caught in the flurry of social change. We should be there to meet the challenge with honor. STEVE KEATHLEY Corsicana I just wanted to say that I truly enjoy the inspirational writing style of Frank Stevenson. Each month, I really enjoy his thoughts. They uplift me, as I am sure they do so many others. Thank you for what has become my favorite part of the Texas Bar Journal! ELIZABETH NIELSEN Denton Frank Stevenson continues to make our firm, bar, and profession proud. In addition to being a law professor, I am also a Girl Scout leader. I intend to read his article to my students and scouts. MONIKA U.
