OrderConnect® User Guide Scanning the Remove item from scanner code will delete all occurrences of the item from your scanner. You will have the opportunity to update and change quantities before submitting an order. Uploading an order When you are finished scanning and are ready to place your order, simply connect your scanner to the scanner cable on your computer. Depending on your system, you may see the following screen when you upload an order: • You can also use your Quantity Scan Sheet to indicate item quantities. Scanning larger quantities of items: Your item scan sheet, provided by your Cardinal Health Sales Representative, is a convenient way to scan larger item quantities. • After you’ve scanned the bar code for the item you want to order, immediately scan a quantity from your scan sheet. • You can scan a combination of quantity codes. Example: scan the 3 code followed by the 5 code to place eight items in your scanner. • The + and - codes can also be used to capture a specific number of items. Example: scan the 12 code followed by the -1 code to place 11 items in your scanner. To skip this screen in the future, click on the Save my user information so I do not have to see this screen box. If your username and password do not appear in the box, enter them before clicking OK. • Your order will be automatically uploaded, and you should see the open order on the cardinalhealth.com site appear in your Internet browser. Important: If you do not see the order appear on your screen, check to ensure that all pop-up blocking tools are deactivated on your Internet browser. Checking your order Once your order is automatically uploaded, you’ll see an order screen appear from the cardinalhealth.com web site: • Carefully check all product information, order quantities and items, and change as needed. • Select only Confirm Price and Availability to verify your specific pricing and the location from which items will ship. Note: Quantities must be scanned immediately after scanning the item itself. The quantity will be associated with the last item scanned.
