Angela Wu, adjudicator of guinness World Records, was on hand to witness the completion of Berg’s playing card versions of the venetian Macao, the Plaza Macao and Sands Macao buildings, which even included intricate details such as the Rialto Bridge and the Campanile tower. the final composition – built without tape, glue or other adhesive aids – was 10.5m long, 3m tall, and weighed more than 272kg. to prove no other substances were used to aid the construc- tion of the house of cards, Berg knocked it down 10 days after its completion. to celebrate the occasion, one gold million dollar card was placed amidst the structure during the building pro- cess. Although lucky Cardstacker Sweepstakes ‘Quest for gold’ entrant Lam tsz Kwok failed in find the card in two minutes, he did take home a substantial consolation prize of hK$250,000.
